The Broker — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will round things out when it arrives.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Suits beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your assessment.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
